friends,Rollerblade,Hike,Go to the movies, and sometimes I even like to
relax”.
Even though Sarah Michelle Gellar won the hightest award a TV actress can
get-an Emy-for her role of “Kendall” in the soap opera “All My
Children”,her biggest thrills have come since she took on the starring role in
TV’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.While on hiatus from the series this past
summer, she co-starred with Party of Five’s Jennifer Love Hewitt in
I Know What You Did Last Summer and was cast with Courtney Cox and
Neve Campbell in the sequel to Scream. But just as things are going so well
for her,Sarah admits that sometimes she gets worried!!! “Lately I think I’ve
been feeling a little intimidated by everything, “She told TV Guide. “This is
what I’ve waited for my whole life, and now it’s happening. I worry that I’m
going to do something to jinx it,that something will go wrong. There’s this
little voice inside of me that keeps going, ‘Uh-oh. things are going to well.’ It
makes me kind of nervous.” Funny, even stars have down-to-Earth
insecurities.

Sarah
Michelle
Gellar. Not only is the
20-year-old actress starring
in "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer," the edgy,
youth-oriented series now
in its second season on the
WB network, she's taking
Hollywood by storm as
well, appearing in two Fall thrillers, "I Know What You Did
Last Summer" and the much-anticipated "Scream 2." This
trilogy of terror just may qualify the former "All My
Children" star as a "scream queen" for the '90s, a title last
held by Jamie Lee Curtis ("Halloween" "Prom Night" "The
Fog). Ironically, however, the New York City native says
she's no big fan of gory horror movies. "To me, the scariest
elements of films are the things that could really happen," she
told the New York Times recently.
That may be, but Gellar's smart, sardonic
portrayal of the high-school- student-by- day,
battler- of-the- undead by night is helping to
make "Buffy" the "WB"'s first breakout hit.
Debuting last March as a mid-season
replacement, "Buffy's" winning combination of quirky
characters, witty dialogue and action-packed, sci-fi plot lines
has resulted in strong ratings, raising the possibility that the
show could well become primetime's next big cult hit (a la
"X-Files")
